Carolyn studied in England at the Fulmer International School of Equitation and trained with the former British Olympic Dressage Coach, Robert Hall. She then went on to work at Addington Manor ... Addington Manor hosts the British Young Horse Championships and other major dressage competitions.

Carolyn has started and trained several successful young horses - recently 'APH Baloo', 'APH Gia' and the highly regarded 'Patou'. Ettienne is the newest addition. Both of which Carolyn has bred herself at her property in the lower Hunter Valley. Carolyn breeds a small number of quality horses, specifically for dressage.

In March 2006, the mares 'Patou' and 'APH Gia', received the second highest score for movement and conformation - 77.25 - out of all mares classified by ACE throughout Australia, from the well respected German assessor, Gerhardt Thele. These mares have always finished in the top three when when competing in the Sydney CDI Young Horse competition.
In October 2006 APH Gia won the 3.4 test at the Australian National Championships.
'APH Baloo' placed at NSW State Championships both at novice and elementary and was sold to Western Australia. He is currently on the dressage leader board for medium/advanced with his new owner Sarah Price.>
'APH Gia'and 'Gracefield Rozspon' have won or consistently placed at State Dressage Championships.
In 2008, 'Ettienne' placed 2nd at the DWTS Young Horse Championships.
Also in 2008, Candice McIntyre scored 1st place on Makalya Holiday at the NSW Pony State Championships.
